Project No. BG-RRP-1.008-0009 “Youth Center - Smolyan“ is financed under the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism within Pillar 1 “Innovative Bulgaria“, Component 1: “Education and Skills“, Investment 4: “Youth Centers“, procedure through selection of proposals for implementation of investment BG-RRP-1.008 “A1 Youth Centers (in regional cities)“. The structure for monitoring and reporting on the investment is the Executive Agency “Education Program“ to the Ministry of Education and Science.
The general objective of the project is to build and ensure the effective functioning of the Youth Center-Smolyan, which will provide a variety of activities (including international ones), as well as comprehensive services to support the personal development and employability of students and young people up to 29 years of age, including those from vulnerable groups.
The specific objectives of the project are:
- Implementing support for the formation, development and realization of students and young people through the construction of the Youth Center-Smolyan;
- Creating a safe, developing and motivating environment for students and young people, supporting their inclusion and striving for development;
- Creating and implementing a sustainable connection and interaction between business, public institutions and organizations with a focus on digital skills for the preparation and successful implementation of young people in the labor market;
- Development of activities aimed at young people in the direction of increasing digital skills, developing entrepreneurial literacy, general and financial literacy, developing specific soft skills that support inclusion and employability;
- Maintaining the interest of students and young people in education and acquiring new skills, participating in joint initiatives and sharing common values with their peers, incl. participation in national and international initiatives
- Establishing a connection, cooperation and active exchange of knowledge and good practices with youth centers in Bulgaria, with a quality mark of the Council of Europe and youth centers from all over Europe;
- Unifying the efforts of all stakeholders who work with and for young people.
